Abstract: Exploring graduates' governance perceptions of entrepreneurial development opportunities in agriculture

It is necessary for Graduates to explore entrepreneurial opportunities provided by the government so that they can gain employment for themselves and other members of their society. In the South African economic climate in which job opportunities are limited, particularly in agriculture, it is important to inquire as to how students and graduates of agriculture perceive the governance of available entrepreneurial programmes. Consequently, the aim of this article was to investigate a selected college of agriculture (CA) graduates and students' perceptions regarding entrepreneurial agriculture for their economic empowerment in Northern KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in South Africa. The focus was on the governance of entrepreneurial development opportunities and challenges in agriculture. Data was obtained from a sample of 133 respondents associated with the CA in KZN. This was a quantitative study that relied on the use of a questionnaire. D
