Although higher education institutions worldwide are gradually improving in absorbing students with disabilities into their environments, there is still a cry for delivery of support services required by such students, specifically in South African higher education institutions. One way of addressing service delivery is to strengthen Disability Units as a support and to co-ordinate service to students with disabilities. This article engages this issue. It is based on the study that opted for a qualitative research approach. Content analysis was used to analyse collected data. Twenty (N=20) students with disabilities on four campuses of Walter Sisulu University participated. Questionnaires were administered, followed by focus group interviews.
