Despite having won the African National Congress (ANC) 52nd National Conference in Polokwane, Limpopo, in 2007, the administration of the former President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Jacob Zuma, officially assumed power in May 2009. This follows the victory of the ANC in the fourth democratic national election in South Africa.
