Service delivery is the core function of municipalities and at the forefront of this function are municipal engineers. Municipal engineers are not only tasked with providing services according to set standards, but also have to balance this with public perception since this sector is highly publicised due to previous corrupt practices which have compromised the integrity of municipal engineering. This research, therefore, seeks to determine whether the use of engineering ethics is a contributor to municipal service provision and whether these ethics can indeed be used for the betterment of service delivery.
