In South Africa there is a growing need for a publication in public finance. The book Public Finance Fundamentals is a contribution in filling this gap and the authors should therefore be applauded. The publication harmonises economics, politics, accounting, budgeting and privatisation into one publication and should provide the reader with basic fundamentals to comprehend financial concepts within a complex public sector environment.
