This article analyses and evaluates the implementation of the affirmative action policy in the context of South African public administration and its societal impact. The affirmative action policy in the South African context does not apply to only the South African public sector employees, but applies to all South African companies in order to balance the unequal representation of the South African labour force in terms of race, gender and disabilities.
